Hilda L. Solis Care First Village,
Los Angeles CA

Construction of 232 housing units for unsheltered residents on a 4-acre brownfield site in City of Los Angeles. Extensive infrastructure enhancements and soil remediation was required to prepare the site for construction. The housing units were built using 66 repurposed shipping containers and 20 modular wood structures. In addition to the housing units, an administration building for management and green spaces were added. The Hilda L. Solis Care First Village was designed, built, and received final approval in less than 5 months during a novel pandemic.
